some tips after reading #SEO life cycle @ Netgains#

Netgains, the company I am working for now has a set of complete thesis towards SEO,we call it 'SEO life cycle'. This is definitely a great document which explains everything of how to start off to analyse the requirements of our clients and the process of  settling the matter.
As we have stated 'our SEO process is holistic that goes parallel to website development process starting from Business Analysis to taking you to the top and helping you stay there.'

There are eight major steps involved in the SEO life cycle. And I would like to highlight some most important steps and share my current understandings of SEO now, therefore,to achieve a conclusion of my recent works and then to proceed to the next step.

[1]Online business analysis
At very first of the online business analysis, we will help you analyse the pre-sales business, and make sure that we totally understand what's our clients' objectives and timelines.
During this step, we also need to find the best marketing channels and focus on the customer segmentation and targeting.
We are also professional in helping our clients to buy a SEO friendly domain names and TLDs,which means'Top-level domain'.Benchmarking is  the process of comparing one's business processes and performance metrics to industry bests and/or best practices from other industries

[2]Architectural Analysis
Website information architecture, the focus is properly on the user and on user requirements. This requires particular attention to web content, a business plan, usability, interaction design, information architecture and web design.

Behavioral trageting, use information collected on an individual's web-browsing behavior, such as the pages they have visited or the searches they have made, to select which advertisements to display to that individual. Practitioners believe this helps them deliver their online advertisements to the users who are most likely to be
interested.

PPC Analysis, pay per click,With search engines, advertisers typically bid on keyword phrases relevant to their target market. Content sites commonly charge a fixed price per click rather than use a bidding system.

Pagination, displaying a limited number of results on search engine results pages, or showing a limited number of posts when viewing a forumthread. Pagination is used in some form in almost every web application to divide returned data and display it on multiple pages. Pagination also includes the logic of preparing and displaying the links to the various pages.

[3]Coding
Session ID,different from a user ID in that sessions are typically short-lived (they expire after a preset time of inactivity which may be minutes or hours) and may become invalid after a certain goal has been met.

Site Map,a list of pages of a web site accessible to crawlers or users. It can be either a document in any form used as a planning tool for web design, or a web page that lists the pages on a web site, typically organized in hierarchical fashion. This helps visitors and search engine bots find pages on the site.

Keyword Mapping,You sell running apparel and one of your keywords is "running shoes" and you have a page that solely sells running shoes. That should be the page where you target your keyword "running shoes."

[4]Quality Control
Crawl Test, identify obstacles in a web page that might negatively impact a search engine's ability to index content and properly determine the topic of that content. It's not clear from the tool's description who the audience is.
CTR,Clickthrough rate,a way of measuring the success of an online advertising campaign
if a banner ad was delivered 100 times (impressions delivered) and 1 person clicked on it (clicks recorded), then the resulting CTR would be 1 percent.

A/B Testing, employers of this A/B testing method will distribute multiple samples of a test, including the control, to see which single variable is most effective in increasing a response rate or other desired outcome.

[6]Content Creation
Viral Marketing, marketing techniques that use pre-existing social networks to produce increases in brand awarenessor to achieve other marketing objectives (such as product sales) through self-replicating viral processes, analogous to the spread of viruses or computer viruses. It can be delivered byword of mouth or enhanced by the network effects of the Internet.

Link Bait, any content or feature, within a website, designed specifically to gain attention or encourage others to link to the website
Matt Cutts defines link bait as anything "interesting enough to catch people's attention."

[7]Website Monitoring
Heat Map,displaying areas of a Web page most frequently scanned by visitors.
With heat map tracking you can easily identify leakage points on a page and test the optimal placement of elements.

[8]Link Building
Directory submission,The basic aim of directory submission is to create one way links to a website. This in turn generates more traffic flow towards your website and improves the search engine rankings.

Directory Submissions benefits
Directory submission is the most widely and commonly used approach to build back-links towards an e-commerce website. Mentioned below are the benefits of directory submissions:
Back links: One of the major objectives of directory submissions is to generate link building towards an e-commerce website. Generating back links are the major benefits of web-directory submissions which in turn results in more traffic flow towards a website.
Search Engine Indexing: Another major benefit of directory submissions is guaranteed search engine indexing. The search engines locate your website following the back links form other websites. If your website’s link is discovered on the directory site, the spiders will follow the links to your website, thus results in increasing the visits and indexing in the databases of search engines.
Frequent visits by spiders: Search engine spiders often visit the websites present on World Wide Web to collect information for archives. The more back links a website has the more frequent the spiders will visit the website and higher a website will rank.
Anchor Text: Using anchor text on your website will eventually be hyperlinked to your website providing you an anchor- back link text from the directories. Hence directory submissions using keywords as anchor-text will boost your link reputation.

Avoid top four mistakes
As you initiate to make use of directory submissions in order to increase the business prospects and achieve success, there are somewhat four mistakes that are suggested to avoid:
Ignoring the rules: Every directory comprises of its own set of guidelines and have real managers other than web spiders to review the website’s submissions. If you fail to follow the guidelines of the directory submission then there is a possibility to be rejected.
Turning submission into sales pitch: The directory submissions made by you should only concentrate on your business facts and website. Using marketing phrases or flowery language will lead to rejection of your website by the directory managers. Always use third person language and be objective. Avoid keyword spamming!
Stuffing the title: There are a few directories that require submitting a title matching your website’s name while various submission directories permit you to incorporate keywords as well.
Use of errant e-mail address: Ensure that the e-mail address you have submitted matches well with the domain. The directory editor would be doubtful if received any e-mail address from Gmail, Yahoo and Hotmail. These search engines are most frequently associated with mass-submission software.
